The agreement

By downloading or playing a game from Alistair Games — a trading name of Alistair Labs, a Wyoming company — you agree to these terms. They apply to every title we publish. If you do not agree, the kindest thing to do is not install the game.

Your licence to play

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and play our games on devices you own or control, for your own entertainment. You do not own the game itself — you own the right to play it.

Fair play

Do not cheat, or modify or automate our games in a way that spoils them for other people. Do not resell access or claim our work as your own. Streaming, videos and screenshots are welcome — monetise them freely.

Purchases and refunds

In-app purchases are processed by Apple, so prices, taxes and the refund button all live on their side. Start there — it is usually the fastest route, and we will help you find the right form if it is not obvious.

That is about who takes the payment, not about who is responsible for the game. We make it, so if something you bought does not work or is not as described, your rights are against us and we will put it right. Write to us.

Purchases are cosmetic or convenience only. We do not sell power.

Availability and changes

Games change: we patch, balance, add and occasionally retire features. We may stop supporting a title or a very old operating system version. If a game is being sunset, we will give notice where we can.

Liability

You have rights we cannot sign away, and we are not trying to. Our games should work as described and be of satisfactory quality — if one does not, your statutory rights apply in full, whatever the rest of this page says.

Beyond that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including lost progress, lost time, or a lost bus stop because the run was going well.

Some things can never be limited, and we will not pretend otherwise: death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and the statutory rights above.

Governing law

Alistair Labs is incorporated in Wyoming, in the United States, and these terms are governed by Wyoming law.

That does not take away rights you already have. If you are a consumer in the EEA or the UK, the mandatory consumer protections of your own country still apply to you in full, and nothing in this section overrides them.
